Warriors beat Palm Beach Central 21–12, move one win from district title
Jupiter has a district championship within reach after beating Palm Beach Central 21–12 Monday night.
The Warriors improved to 7–1 in a matchup that took two nights to finish. Lightning suspended play Friday, leaving the final three quarters for Monday, October 19.
According to The Palm Beach Post’s game report, Jupiter’s defense held off Central with the Warriors protecting a 14–12 lead. Nick Bothe added a touchdown in the final two minutes to give Jupiter breathing room and help secure the victory.
It was Jupiter’s second consecutive win over the Broncos, and it leaves coach Josh Brooks’ team needing a victory over Dr. Joaquín García on Friday to clinch the district championship, the Post reported.
The next step comes on the road. Jupiter visits García in Lake Worth on Friday, October 23, with kickoff scheduled for 6:30 p.m. The Warriors then close their regular-season schedule at South Fork on October 30.
For Jupiter fans, that makes Friday another game worth circling: a chance to see the Warriors finish the job and bring home a district title.
