TriLink BioTechnologies Opens GMP Enzyme Manufacturing Facility in Jupiter
Jupiter's life sciences footprint just got bigger. TriLink BioTechnologies, part of Maravai LifeSciences (NASDAQ: MRVI), has opened a new GMP enzyme manufacturing facility right here in Jupiter, Florida — purpose-built to support the global RNA therapeutics industry from early research all the way through commercial production.
The facility is already operational. TriLink shipped its first commercial GMP enzyme batch in June 2026, marking a significant milestone for both the company and Jupiter's growing biotech corridor.
What they make and why it matters
RNA-based medicines — including mRNA vaccines and gene therapies — depend on a set of critical raw materials during manufacturing. Historically, drug developers had to source these from multiple vendors with different quality systems, timelines, and regulatory frameworks. That fragmented supply chain creates delays and risk, especially as drugs move into late-stage clinical trials and commercial launch.
TriLink's new Jupiter facility consolidates that supply. It now offers an integrated package of GMP-grade materials for the in vitro transcription (IVT) workflow:
- GMP CleanScribe™ RNA Polymerase — TriLink's flagship enzyme, engineered to reduce double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) formation by up to 85% compared to standard RNA polymerases. Lower dsRNA means cleaner final product and reduced immunogenicity risk in patients.
GMP NTPs (nucleoside triphosphates) — the molecular building blocks of RNA
GMP CleanCap® analogs — the industry-standard co-transcriptional capping reagents
GMP ModTail™ technology — designed to enhance mRNA stability and in vivo protein expression
The facility features controlled cleanroom environments, validated production processes, and full traceability systems designed to meet regulatory requirements across major global markets.
What the company says
RNA therapeutics developers need reliable supply partners that can support them from early research through commercial manufacturing, said Chad Decker, SVP Global Sales at TriLink. By combining enzyme manufacturing capabilities with TriLink's existing RNA technologies, we help customers simplify sourcing, reduce supply chain complexity, and accelerate scale-up with greater confidence.
Jupiter's biotech presence
TriLink BioTechnologies has been based in Jupiter for years, and this facility expansion reinforces the town's position as a serious node in Florida's life sciences ecosystem. The Scripps Research Institute, Stiles-Nicholson Brain Institute, and Max Planck Florida are all based nearby — making northern Palm Beach County one of the most concentrated research corridors in the Southeast.
