The Maltz Jupiter Theatre Is Welcoming Students Back — and the Kids Who've Been There Before Are Already Hungry for More

There's a certain kind of kid who counts down the days to the start of school — not for the academics, but because it means the Goldner Conservatory at Maltz Jupiter Theatre is back in session.

"They come back to us looking for more challenges," said Kim Capozzoli, Business Manager for the Conservatory. "More training — whether it's dance, acting, or vocals."

That's not a bad problem to have. The Goldner Conservatory draws students who are serious about performance and pairs them with instructors who have actually done it — award-winning actors and Broadway-trained performers now on staff at the theatre.

One of those students is Finnley Griffing, who is currently playing Lydia Deetz in a conservatory production. When asked about her relationship with theater, she didn't hesitate.

"I think in every lifetime, I'd be doing theater," Griffing said.

For anyone still on the fence, she has simple advice: just try it.

"You can do dance, acting, and singing. You can be on TV, wear amazing costumes — theater offers so many outlets. If you want to do theater, go for it. Do anything you can because it really is a beautiful experience."
