NextEra Energy CEO Linked to $19.6M Mansion Purchase in Jupiter’s Bear’s Club

A luxury estate in Jupiter’s prestigious Bear’s Club has sold for $19.61 million to a trust linked to NextEra Energy CEO John W. Ketchum, according to The Business Journals.

The property, located at 136 Bears Club Drive, spans 10,971 square feet and sits within one of South Florida’s most exclusive gated golf communities. The sale price represents a slight discount from its previous $19.8 million transaction in 2023. The seller was Dr. Armin Oskouei, an orthopedic surgeon and hedge fund manager.

Records indicate the buyer secured a $13.73 million mortgage through JPMorgan Chase Bank to finance the purchase. Ketchum leads NextEra Energy, the parent company of Florida Power & Light, and is among the highest-compensated executives in the region, with reported total earnings of $20.7 million in 2024. The deal adds to a growing list of high-value real estate transactions in Jupiter, particularly within the Bear’s Club, a community known for attracting business leaders, professional athletes, and high-net-worth buyers.
