Man Arrested After Burglarizing Five Jupiter Plumbing Vans, Stealing $11,000 in Tools

A Jupiter man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly breaking into five commercial plumbing vans at a Commerce Lane business on Sunday morning, making off with more than $11,000 in tools before police caught up with him near PGA Boulevard.

Jupiter Police say investigators were already tracking a white Dodge Ram linked to a string of burglaries from Miami-Dade County north to Jupiter when the truck appeared at Jet Plumbing, 1311 Commerce Lane, around 9:05 a.m. — while the business was closed. Surveillance video allegedly shows Tadarius Lamar Rhim, 37, stepping out wearing gloves and a ski mask and entering five company vans, smashing windows on four of them and entering a fifth that was unlocked. Damage to the vehicles totaled roughly $1,000.

Officers stopped Rhim near PGA Boulevard and the Florida Turnpike. When he refused commands and reached back into his truck, an officer deployed a single 40mm impact round that struck his leg. He was taken into custody without further incident. Investigators recovered approximately $11,132 in stolen tools from the vehicle.

Rhim faces five counts of burglary of an unoccupied dwelling, grand theft ($10,000–$20,000), crossing county lines to commit burglary, criminal mischief over $1,000, possession of burglary tools with intent to use, and resisting an officer without violence.
