Jupiter Medical Center Partners with World’s No. 1 Orthopedic Hospital
JUPITER, Fla. — Jupiter Medical Center (JMC) is joining forces with Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) — ranked No. 1 in orthopedics worldwide by U.S. News & World Report for 16 consecutive years — to bring advanced musculoskeletal care to South Florida.
The alliance combines Jupiter Medical Center, the region’s leading independent hospital, with HSS, a New York-based academic medical center founded in 1863. Together, they will offer a full spectrum of care including diagnosis, surgery, sports medicine, spine treatment, and rehabilitation.
“Jupiter Medical Center and HSS share a commitment to excellence in patient care,” said Dr. Amit Rastogi, President and CEO of JMC. “This relationship ensures that people in our community have direct access to the same orthopedic expertise trusted by patients worldwide, including professional athletes.”
New Facilities, Same Community Focus
HSS physicians will perform surgeries at JMC’s new Johnny and Terry Gray Surgical Institute. The hospital is also nearing completion of a five-story Patient Care Tower that will include dedicated orthopedic and rehabilitation facilities.
“This collaboration reflects a unique depth of shared responsibility and opportunity to increase access to the world’s highest quality orthopedic care in Palm Beach County,” said Dr. Bryan T. Kelly, President and CEO of HSS.
A Growing Reputation
Jupiter Medical Center was recently named one of Newsweek’s World’s Best Hospitals and one of Money’s Best Orthopedic Hospitals in the U.S. It also holds “High Performing” ratings from U.S. News for hip fracture, hip replacement, and knee replacement.
HSS serves patients from all 50 states and more than 100 countries, including athletes from over half of all MLB, NBA, and NFL teams. It is the official hospital of the UFC and 15 professional sports teams worldwide.
“This partnership will help make Jupiter Medical Center the premier destination for musculoskeletal care in the region,” said Dr. Ryan W. Simovitch, an HSS sports medicine surgeon based in Florida.
