JUPITER MEDICAL CENTER BREAKS GROUND ON NEW AVENIR HOSPITAL
JUPITER, FL — Jupiter Medical Center took a major step forward this week, breaking ground on a new hospital and medical office complex in the Avenir community in western Palm Beach County.
The project marks one of the most significant healthcare expansions in the region in years, bringing full-service medical care directly to one of the area's fastest-growing residential corridors.

The new campus will consist of two buildings: a two-story hospital and a three-story medical office building. When complete, the hospital will feature 29 inpatient beds, four operating rooms, and a 24/7 emergency department — meaning residents in western Palm Beach County will no longer need to drive east for urgent or surgical care.
Healthcare providers at the facility will be trained in both primary care and a range of medical specialties, giving the community broader access to services that previously required longer trips to established campuses.
Hospital leadership has framed the expansion as a direct response to the region's population boom. Communities like Avenir, Arden, and the Acreage have seen explosive residential growth over the past several years, bringing thousands of new families into an area that has historically been underserved by healthcare infrastructure.
Wednesday's groundbreaking ceremony officially launched construction on the new campus. An opening timeline has not yet been announced.
For Jupiter residents, the expansion reinforces Jupiter Medical Center's position as the region's anchor healthcare institution — and signals that the hospital is investing in the long-term growth of the broader community it serves.
