Town Council approved the first readings of two ordinances designed to establish procedures for issuing trespass warnings on public property and create a formal appeals process.
The proposed changes would authorize procedures for issuing trespass warnings while expanding the jurisdiction of the town's Special Magistrate to hear appeals related to those warnings.
Town officials described the ordinances as procedural updates intended to provide a consistent framework for enforcement and review.
Both ordinances are scheduled for second reading on June 16 before final consideration.
