Health Advisory Issued for DuBois Park Due to High Bacteria Levels
JUPITER, Fla. – The Florida Department of Health in Palm Beach County (DOH-Palm Beach) issued a water quality health advisory on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, for DuBois Park, located at 19075 DuBois Road in Jupiter.
Tests completed on Monday, April 13, indicate that the water does not meet state recreational quality criteria for Enterococcus bacteria, which poses an increased risk of illness to swimmers.
DOH-Palm Beach advises against any water-related activities at this location until further notice. The advisory will remain in effect until follow-up sampling shows bacteria levels have dropped below the accepted health threshold.
Enterococcus bacteria are commonly found in the intestinal tracts of humans and animals. High levels can indicate fecal contamination and increase the risk of gastrointestinal illness, skin rashes, and other infections for those who come into contact with the water.
