Four Rescued After Early Morning Boat Capsize Near A1A Bridge in Jupiter

In the early hours of Friday morning, a dramatic rescue unfolded near the A1A bridge in Jupiter after a boat capsized, leaving two people unaccounted for and sparking a coordinated search by emergency crews.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue reported that crews responded to an open water incident just before 3 a.m. in the 1200 block of North Alternate A1A. Officials said that a boat had capsized near the A1A bridge.

Rescue Operation

Upon arrival, crews reported that two people had made it safely to shore on their own, while two others remained unaccounted for in the water.

In response, the Coast Guard, Tequesta Fire, and Jupiter Police launched a coordinated search and rescue operation to locate the missing individuals and the overturned vessel.

Fortunately, the Coast Guard successfully located the remaining two people and brought them safely to shore.


No Injuries Reported

All four people involved in the incident denied any injuries and declined to be transported to a hospital.

The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of water safety and the quick response capabilities of local emergency services in Jupiter and surrounding areas.
