Residents and beachgoers in Jupiter and Juno Beach are outraged after a critically endangered great hammerhead shark was found mutilated on the sand near the Juno Beach Pier.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) and the Center for Biological Diversity have raised the reward to $5,000 for tips that help identify the person responsible for illegally removing the shark’s fins. Anyone with information is urged to contact the FWC Wildlife Alert Hotline at (888) 404-3922.
