Jupiter Fishing Report
🎣 Jupiter Fishing Report
July 5 – July 12, 2026
If you've been waiting for classic summer fishing conditions, this is shaping up to be a good week. Light southeast winds, calm seas (generally under 2 feet), and warm water temperatures should make for comfortable mornings offshore before the typical afternoon thunderstorms develop. (National Data Buoy Center)
🌊 Offshore
⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (Very Good)
The offshore bite continues to be productive, especially early in the day.
What's biting:
- 🐬 Mahi (Dolphin): Excellent action in 300–1,200 feet of water. Floating debris, weed lines, and birds remain your best indicators.
- 🐟 Kingfish: Active along the 120-foot ledge, especially during the morning tide changes.
- 🐟 Mutton & Yellowtail Snapper: Good catches on reefs in 70–90 feet using sardines, squid, or bonita chunks.
- 🐟 Blackfin Tuna: Some fish remain around 250–350 feet, though reports have become less consistent.
- 🎣 Sailfish: Still possible in deeper water north of Jupiter, although not the primary target this time of year. (Juno Bait)
Best times:
- Sunrise until about 11 a.m.
- After storms pass in the evening (only if conditions allow).
🌴 Inshore & Jupiter Inlet
⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (Very Good)
Summer snook fishing remains the headline.
Target species:
- 🐟 Snook: Concentrated around Jupiter Inlet, bridge shadow lines, and docks. Live croakers, sand perch, and pilchards are producing well during the day, while flair hawks and swimbaits have been effective after dark.
- 🐟 Mangrove Snapper: Good nighttime bite around bridges.
- 🐟 Jack Crevalle: Schools continue moving through the inlet.
- 🐟 Tarpon: Still possible around the inlet and beaches during first light. (Juno Bait)
🏖 Surf & Pier
⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (Good)
Juno Beach Pier and Jupiter beaches continue producing early.
Look for:
- Snook cruising the beach at dawn and dusk.
- Bonita schools passing outside casting range at times.
- Tarpon rolling early in the morning.
- Whiting and croakers in the troughs. (Juno Bait)
🌤 Weather Outlook
Marine conditions remain favorable for much of the week:
- 🌊 Seas: 1–2 feet
- 💨 Winds: Southeast to south 5–15 knots
- ⚡ Afternoon thunderstorms remain the biggest factor each day.
- 🚤 Best boating conditions: Sunrise through late morning. (National Data Buoy Center)
🎯 This Week's Top Picks
| Species | Outlook | Best Method |
|---|---|---|
| Mahi | ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Troll ballyhoo, squid, or small feathers near weed lines |
| Snook | ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ | Live croakers, pilchards, flair hawks at night |
| Kingfish | ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ | Slow troll live bait or spoons along the 120' ledge |
| Snapper | ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ | Sardines or squid on the reefs |

💡 Local Tip
With the summer heat settling in, the best fishing window is sunrise until about 10:30 a.m. Once the afternoon sea breeze and thunderstorms develop, conditions can change quickly. If you're offshore, keep an eye on the western horizon and head in early if storms begin building.
Overall Rating for July 5–12: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4.5/5)
Calm seas, active mahi offshore, and an excellent snook bite around Jupiter Inlet should make this one of the better weeks of the month for local anglers. (National Data Buoy Center)
