🎣 Jupiter Fishing Report – April 5, 2026

📅 Overview & Conditions

Sunday, April 5th, is shaping up to be a solid day for fishing in Jupiter. The moon is 88% illuminated (waning gibbous), which typically means good, if not peak, activity levels . Expect warm spring weather with temperatures around 71°F to 79°F and generally mild wind conditions .

  • Solunar Rating: Average
  • Best Fishing Times: The primary feeding periods are expected during the major times from 2:39 AM to 4:39 AM and again from 3:03 PM to 5:03 PM. Minor periods, which can also be productive, occur from 8:26 AM to 9:26 AM and 10:44 PM to 11:44 PM .

🌊 Tides for Jupiter Inlet (April 5, 2026)

Water movement is critical in Jupiter's inlets and inshore waters. Here are the tides for the Jupiter Inlet, which is your primary reference point :

TideTimeHeight (ft)
Low Tide4:56 AM0.33
High Tide11:10 AM2.41
Low Tide5:07 PM-0.09
High Tide11:45 PM2.49

🎯 Fishing Tip: The outgoing tide (especially the morning drop from ~4:56 AM to 11:10 AM) is often excellent for fishing the inlet, as it flushes baitfish out of the intracoastal. The incoming tide in the afternoon will push fresh, clean water in, which is ideal for targeting species holding near the jetties and bridges.

🐟 Target Species & Hot Spots

The inshore and nearshore bite has been very strong. Anglers are reporting a diverse mix of species, so be ready for anything .

  • Snook: The bite continues to improve as water temperatures warm. Focus on bridges, seawalls, docks, and mangrove shorelines. Both high and low tides can produce, but moving water is key. Use live bait (pilchards or mullet), DOA Terror Eyz, or Rapala X-Raps .
  • Tarpon: Large numbers of "silver kings" are being spotted around mangrove shorelines and drop-offs. Early morning is your best bet. Live bait fished free-lined or Rapala twitch baits are effective .

  • Mixed Bag (Jacks, Snapper, & More): You can easily catch 10-15 different species in a single trip. Spanish mackerel, bluefish, jacks, and snapper are holding in deep holes and channels. Try DOA CAL shrimp on the bottom or live shrimp around docks and drop-offs for nonstop action .

  • Largemouth Bass: If you prefer freshwater, the canals in the Jupiter Farms area are producing Largemouth bass. Remember the regulations: open season, 5 bag limit, and only one bass may be 16 inches or longer .

🎣 Pro Tips for April 5th

  • Prime Location: The Jupiter Inlet and the surrounding Loxahatchee River are your best bets for variety, as they concentrate fish during tide changes.
  • Best Bait: Live shrimp is a universal offering that almost everything will eat. For artificials, bring paddle-tail jigs and topwater plugs for the early morning bite.
  • Weather Watch: While the forecast is warm, April in South Florida can get windy. Check local morning conditions before heading offshore .

Tight lines and enjoy the fishing in Jupiter 🌴🎣
