Jupiter Fishing Report
Date: Thursday, March 19, 2026 Conditions: Sunny | Air: 76°F | Water: 74°F | Current: Northbound (Gulf Stream edge 3 miles out)
Today is shaping up to be an "Emerald Tier" day on the water. With the St. Patrick’s Day swells settling into a manageable 2-3 foot rhythm and the water clarity at a crisp 8/10, the bite is active across all three major local zones.
1. THE SURF & INLET: "The Pompano Push" The big story today is the Pompano. They are moving in thick along the Juno and Jupiter beaches. Target: Pompano, Bluefish, and the occasional Spanish Mackerel. Hot Spots: The troughs just south of the Juno Pier and the north side of the Jupiter Inlet. Tactics: Use long-cast rods with "Sand Flea" or "Electric Chicken" colored jigs. If you're baiting, fresh blanched sand fleas are outperforming frozen shrimp 3-to-1 today. Tide Alert: Focus on the Incoming Tide (High @ 10:14 AM) for the best water clarity and fish movement.
2. INTRACOASTAL & BRIDGES: "The Snook Slot" With the US-1 Bridge construction currently paused for the week, the fish have settled back into their usual patterns around the pilings. Target: Slot-size Snook and Tarpon. Hot Spots: The shadow lines of the US-1 Bridge and the docks lining the Loxahatchee River near the sandbar. Tactics: Night anglers are cleaning up with Flare-Hawk jigs. For daytime, live shrimp drifted naturally under the bridge fenders is the winning play. Pro Tip: Look for "finger mullet" schools—the Snook are tracking them heavily near the Harbourside docks.
3. OFFSHORE ACTION: "The Stream is Calling" The Gulf Stream is sitting about 3-4 miles out, bringing in that beautiful cobalt blue water. Target: Sailfish and Mahi-Mahi (Dolphin). Hot Spots: The "Ledge" (120–180 ft line) straight out from the Jupiter Light.
Tactics: Trolling ballyhoo with a blue/white skirt is the standard, but kite fishing is yielding the biggest Sailfish today. There have been reports of some weed lines forming 5 miles out—if you find the floating sargassum, you'll find the Mahi.
